Australia’s National Pickleball League (NPL) has big ambitions for its venue network, with pickleball leading the charge and padel adding another opportunity to get people playing.

NPL sees padel as a natural complement to pickleball, with plans to explore both sports at future venues where the location, demand and investment make sense. Its outdoor brand, PARK Racquet Club, offers an exciting opportunity to bring them together, giving players more ways to compete, connect and discover a new favourite sport.
The goal is bold: build Australia’s largest venue network and tap into the growing appetite for emerging racquet sports. Pickleball will remain the priority, says CEO Ron Shell, with its lower upfront costs providing a strong foundation for expansion.
As the network grows, NPL sees plenty of opportunities to add padel, broaden its audience and make each venue a destination for more players.
